NFPA

AN INTRODUCTION

NFPA is the National Fire Protection Association. NFPA's mission
is "to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on
the quality of life by providing and advocating scientifically-based
consensus codes and standards, research, training and education".

NFPA is an international nonprofit organization founded in 1896.
Its membership totals more than 75,000 individuals from nearly
100 countries and more than 80 national trade and professional
organizations. As a result, it is an international standards
development organization, not merely a national trade association.
It serves as the world's leading advocate of fire prevention and is
an authoritative source on public safety. NFPA’s many codes and
standards have helped to protect both people and property
